If you follow the belief that being unfaithful in your mind is the same as being unfaithful in body, then yes.

If that doesn't match with your belief system, then a good way to find out is to ask your spouse. That's not intended as a joke or a snide remark... chances are that if your spouse would not understand/support such activity, then it is likely that (regardless of your opinion) it will be perceived as infidelity. Since perception is reality, you must operate within that environment.

A brief article is linked below. Among the highlights: "Engaging in erotic communications online, while not as threatening as offline sexual encounters, does pose a threat to couples," Whitty says. "Online actions can have a real impact on relationships, despite the absence of physical bodies."

In the truest sense of the word it sure is. It is so easy to do it and think that because you have never laid hands on the other person let alone our eyes, what you say to each other means little.

That is of course wrong. What you are saying is exactly what you wish you were doing and so yes you are cheating.

Yes. Infidelity is even lusting after a wo/man.
Just the same as if you're married and look at dirty pics while you
pleasure yourself. Why not have your wife take nudy pics just for you??

you are asking because you know it is and you want a loop hole. Yes, it is. It is turning to a stranger for the kind of exchange that is meant for a married couple. It is sleezy, nasty and participating in that kind of thing can ruin a relationship.

Rise above it and don't let yourself get dragged into the gutter.

You'll get a different answer from every person who does answer. Pt it this way...how would you feel if your mate was chatting on erotic web sites?

you know, I would say definitely. Infidelity is on a spectrum, I guess, but that spectrum is like a slide and the further you go down it the harder it is to stop from going all the way.

i DONT think it is at all. Come on! You're on a virtual platform and you will never meet this person. Is it not better than soliciting "IT" from elsewhere? Every person has "thoughts" in their mind which they contain because its considered "taboo" and a lot of people eventually succumb to it and end up doing something totally foolish and very harmful to their relationship.

On the internet......its all "VIRTUAL"........dont understand what's the big deal.

I'm sure if the person's picture is attractive a lot of the people who've answered "YES" would definitely respond but in the face of it would be moralistic and say "NO"...........

DUH....yeah. Infidelity is any secretive talk or other stuff that goes on behind your significant others back. If you have to go outside of the relationship to get something that 's missing...and if you have to ask...YES it is...
