Britney files for divorce (finally)?

is it about time or should they try harder to work things out for the sake of their two young children?

Spears filed legal papers today in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences." In her petition, Spears asks for both legal and physical custody of the couple's two children, one-year old Sean Preston and two-month old Jayden James, with Federline getting reasonable visitation rights.

As for money, sources tell TMZ the couple, who married in Sept. 2004, has an iron-clad prenup. Not surprisingly, Spears is waiving her right to spousal support. She's also asking the judge to make each party pay their own attorney's fees.

Spears gives the date of separation as yesterday, the same day she flaunted her incredible revamped physique during a surprise appearance on David Letterman's show. Sources tell TMZ there was no single reason for Britney pulling the plug, rather, it was "a string of events."

For once the rumor mill is true. Spears has finally come to her senses! Let's face it...what prize did she win when she ended up with K-Fed? The only thing you get when you date a man that has a pregnant girlfriend at home is a liar and a cheater. He saw a gravy train in Britney and went along for the ride. So what if it cost him 2 children. Fortunately Britney is back in the conductor's seat and she looks fabulous...slim and fit. Hopefully, she's come to her senses and will do what's in the best interest of her career and her children. True, K-Fed may have receive some possessions and cash in the split...but those things get old , depreciate in value, and the money is easily spent especially when you don't have your own source of income. Britney will end up with the kids and they're the gifts that last a lifetime.

Its about time. He was only ever after her money. Sorry but a guy that leaves the mother of his child when she is 6 months pregnant with his 2nd for another woman is NO GOOD. Surely Britney knew that this relationship would never work. But they are both fools

Out of the many emails I got about Britney’s divorce to KFed, this one was very interesting. It comes from someone that claims they are close to the Britney camp. I’m going to take it at face value, but what they say makes complete sense:

Laney – Don’t believe the Britney divorce. I’m sort of in with her circle of friends and I know for a fact she’s not going to leave him.

She’s just doing this to scare him and gain some sympathy votes from the media. She went on Letterman, cause Kevin thought she was at the hotel crying over him.

She is using the divorce to scare him. They are already talking to each other and texting all the time on their mobiles. She always threatened divorce on him and he never believes her.

She’s hoping he will change his ways. I think she also knows that this can change her image and is using it. They will get back together. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are already back together.

properly ok-Fed already ruined her photograph so i think it does not actually matter quantity. He took her from warm Skank to Trailer toddler production facility and he or she isn't something different then a cameo on an Episode of law enforcement officers: celeb version. there is one useful approximately them getting divorced. Now that there is not any one to sell ok-Fed's rubbish album he will the two leech himself onto yet another celeb host or whither and die.

I saw that coming, she should file for a divorce coz a love that hurts won't work! no matter how hard they try and staying together for the kids is not right! she should get back with Justin!

So what? I mean let her do as she pleazes. He wasn't really ment for her anyway. There is someone else...and he's out there somplace...tho i am gonna say they do look really cute together...and i would like them to stay together...but Kevin Federline "k-fed" needs to straighten up his act and be more mature and more of a parent to his kids and more of a husband...than he used to.

Bratney Spears and Kevin Fenderhead are over-exposed, tiresome celebratties. They should go their separate ways and be done with the entire fiasco

It's about time divorce was made illegal for any parents with kids under 18 unless there are exceptional circumstances, i.e. violence, etc. It might be a better deterrent for these bits of kids having kids of their own.
