Let's help you learn how not to suck at math.
First step, is to figure out exactly what they are asking for. In this case, it will be the weight of the bread she has left.
Taking it in steps:
If Molly has 1/5 of a loaf of bread, and a full loaf weighs 5 lbs, how many pounds of bread does she have to begin with?
If she eats half of it, divide that number by 2, and you have your answer.
Okay?

This question must have been put together by a guy. A five pound loaf of bread would be stupendous!

If she has 1/5 of a five pound loaf of bread then that is one pound of bread. Half of one pound is a half a pound. Is the five pounds of bread considered hers? If so, then she has 4 1/2 pounds of bread. If she just had the 1/5 then all that is left is 1/2.

To get the answer, divide the weight of the bread by 5 to get 1/5th. The answer is one pound.

Divide that by 2 because she ate half.

She has one half pound or 1/10 of the loaf left.
