as bad as this sounds..your gonna have to live with it until you give birth to your baby. I have had the same problem and done everything everyone suggested and still nothing helped. I would wake up at night with it so bad and not being able to sleep at all. Its killer I know! I keep my perscription and down tums and drink lots of milk. Sometimes that helps, other times there is no help whatsoever! Good Luck, hopefully you will find something that works for you!

I had it too! I have acid reflux and it sounds like you could possibly have it also. You should get prevacid (prescription) but if the doctor won't give it to you get zantac over the counter and either way you should also take some chewable antacids (calcium is the main ingredient) for quick relief. And of course stay away from the spicy foods, etc. Also, prop you self up at an incline at night while you are sleeping. From your back up to you head. It helps to relieve some of the pain from the acid sitting in you stomach.

Heartburn just simply sucks. I couldn't find anything for it that worked, either. I tried everything I could think of. It was usually worse at night. Sleeping with my head more elevated than normal helped SOME, but I was/am still up and down most of the night miserably. It did go away after my baby, though, so that is something to look forward to. Just one of the miserable things to go along with all the great ones of being pregnant.

heartburn is actually cause by too little acid in your stomach. (sounds crazy, i know!) Some suggest drinking a small amount of applecider vinegar, the most preferred kind is made by a company called Braggs.
I know it sounds farfetched, but drinking the vinegar and adding the acid in your stomach will actually help your heartburn.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy, and congrats!

It may be the food you're eating (not just spicy food can trigger this). Also try eating smaller meals, but frequently. You may need to sit up while you sleep, in a recliner or sometime -- laying down can trigger heartburn. Milk can help too.

Try smaller, more frequent meals....sleeping in a propped up position, not eating within 2 hours of bed, and extra dairy products. Good Luck, I know it's horrible! Sometimes these things helped, but not always.

I had the same problem - at one point I thought that I had gotten Absorbine Jr on my hands before eating. I thought I was going to die. I never did find a solution but it did go away after a couple of months. You have my complete and total sympathy.

I did have it bad with my second pregnancy. I took eno in small
doses.....less than half the amount on the directions. I did this
every 20 mins or so and I found it was the only way to get it to stop.
