How do you feel when you find out you've been lied to?

Telling white lies in order to protect yourself or especially someone you love is fine but to lie just in order to gain a certain sense of well being and not being yourself is wrong. If you lie, you should do it for the right and good reason.

I think it depends on the situation and somethings are better left un- said... I think it is better just not to hurt others in the way of haveing to lie but if you end up screwing up (which we all do) somethings are better not told and just dealing with what we have done, telling is almost all the time out of guilt and very selfish to hurt another in that way, it is better to stop the action and deal with the regret...

Speaking the truth all the time can be extremely difficult. You can get more respect that way. I have ticked off a lot of people with the truth. Many of them realized it was what they needed to hear, not what they wanted to hear.

Lying is easier and quicker. The results usually end up biting you in the behind anyway.

What's the lie?

It really isn't OK to lie...ever. Not to a sexual partner, husband, wife...someone who trusts you intimately and exclusively. Even a little lie.

Unfortunately, it's in our human nature to lie to protect ourselves. And believe me, we don't lie to protect others....we do it so they won't lash out at us for telling the truth. So....

Is it wrong to lie occassionally? Probably not, but you certainly should try not to, and make sure you never lie about the important stuff - sexual health, money, etc.

Is it OK to lie you ask? I say yes and no. From my point I would say you should try to be honest whenever its possible. think, how would you like if someone lied to you! When it is good to lie, example- a horrible drawing but you say its good, can be helpful. But always remember whats right. :)

No lieing is wrong and it is dishonest. Liers usually get caught sooner or later, ppl will not trust you. And it is wrong in the bible. Why would you want to do that DON'T YOU KNOW SATAN IS THE FATHER OF THE LIE. Why would you want to follow his example besides he is going to be destroyed along with his followers.

well...most of the time that lie is bad and not good but if someone is dying and u don't want to hurt her/him than it ok~ but not for BF/GF cause if u are dating someone but ur GF do not know it ~even u don't want to hurt her but it's hurt more that u lie to her. Do not lie to the people u love espicially ...but it's ok to lie about someone is very sick and tell them they will get better!

you should never lie.
avoid answering, maybe.
sometimes you have to be really careful how you tell some things.

If you tell the truth in such a way as to cause someone else to hurt, that is when you should have avoided the question.
