YES,,,
Mental, Physical, Emotional, Sexual, ALL forms of violence and all are damaging to children, I grew up in a violent home and It took me years to realize that I was worth something and know that not all people were that way.
If you are in a violent situation, or you know of kids that are, it is best to get out AND GET HELP.
If someone moved to fast around me I would shake, if someone raised there voice around me I was scared.
I lost allot of my childhood because I lived in fear.

This question is horribly vague.
What, exactly, are you asking?
Why do you need to know?
Are you talking about any violence that happens anywhere in the world, or violence that the kid witnesses first hand, or violence the consequences of which they witness, or cartoon violence, or what?
Whomping on a child clearly does affect that child, but it isn't at all clear if that's what you're asking.

If they witness violence firsthand or are a victim of abuse, yes. That can severely traumatize a child.
Personally, I don't believe that's the case with video games and movies...because I've seen a lot of stuff on TV when I was a kid and it never affected me in any negative way. (i.e. I didn't try to kill anyone) I'm 18 right now, so I've lived the life of violent movies and games....and I'm a decent college student.

If your talking about violence that they witness in person...yes. I was raised in home of domestic violence and it really scarred me for life. If you're talking about tv or video games, I would say no as long as the child understands the difference between reality and fiction/right and wrong.

Yes, it does. Their brains are still being wired and everything they see, hear, feel, taste and smell goes towards their development. A child exposed to violence will grow up to be a violent adult.

yes it does it really does, I'm a teenager and the boys my age think that everything they do can relate this video game they played, and if they don't like someone, there just like "I would just shoot them if i a gun" so it really does affect them. Whatever happened to pong, I like that game

Yes it does, they think it's a way of life & get closer to it. They get involved with the wrong type of people & wind up in trouble, or better yet prison. They need to get involved in fishing, camping, boy scouts or sports.
