There are quite a few different snakes called by that name. The links below shows pictures of a bunch of different species. I think you will need to get more info before anyone can answer your question on the internet. Check out the links below for some info. Except for their diet, the care of all snakes is very much the same: they're cold-blooded so have to be kept at a temperature of at least somewhere near room temperature. The first link below is about care & feeding.

The most common snake in this group you will see is the Western Hognose. You should be aware that they are mildly venemous - so mild in fact that a bite probably won't do you any harm at all, but technically they are venemous snakes.

They don't get very big and as such don't require much space. You should also be aware however that they can be hard to feed and frequently refuse food. They often grow very slowly, and don't shed much. They can be a bit of a headache, but if you're up to a little extra work, they're good little snakes.

Best of luck to you.

If you're looking to keep one, try to make sure it's a Western Hog nose, not the Eastern. The Eastern are very picky about their food, eating mostly only small toads, which can be difficult to come by in any herp. shops that I've ever seen. The Western variety will gladly take various sized mice & are much easier to care for. They're great bluffers, blowing up with air & hissing, but while they are mildly venomous to their small prey, they are harmless to humans. They make a great addition to any collection.
