does anyone think the movie "Enders Game" will turn out okay?

has anyone read the book? how well do you think the movie can be? i mean i know we have the tech to make any special effects look good, but to compress the story to fit in 2-3hrs... do you think it can be done and still keep the movie great? (and do you think they'll give Bean a prominent role to make a spinoff like they did the books?)

i just thought Bean was an interesting character. it really enriches the story when you hear Bean's side of what happens during enders game. and the sequels to "Enders Shadow" are pretty interesting too.

however, much as i like the Bean character, i am just really hoping that the Ender's Game comes out well... even if they do have to cut out some interesting scenes, theres always the hope that it has the magic of the book.

Ender's Game is one of my favorite books of all time, so I hope it turns out good. According to what I have read, Card is working closely on the project and Wolfgang Petersen is slated to direct, so it looks like it will have a very good chance. Card says he accepts that the movie will cut out a lot of elements, but what is important to him is to get across the most important elements and characters. Because of all they'll have to cut, I doubt Bean will have as prominent as role as you seem to be hoping. Why, was he one of your favorite characters? I liked him pretty well, but not as much as Ender Wiggin himself.

This is the first I've heard of an Ender movie, but if it's anywhere near as good as the book, it'll swiftly become a classic - hopefully, they'll make it a proper blockbuster so the general public will demand a sequel - or five.

the movie will be ok but i don't think it will come close to the book. but i hope they make the other books into movies those would be much better than enders game. but i loved all the ender books have you read them all?
