ok, voting and in NYC, help!?

when i go into the booth, will the candidates names be there lined up according to their party or what?
what is the system?

Yes, they will be. Also, there will be sample ballots for you to study before you actually vote. You can take these in with you to aid in the voting process. If you have any questions, there are many volunteers who will be there to help you. Don't let not understanding the process keep you from voting. There have been many procedures put into place to help you with any questions you might have.
