2 days ago I answered a question called "Do Muslims have a sense of humour?"
To test this I told a joke about a woman saying "does my bo.mb look big in this" it was a violation ? !
In almost all humour somebody has to be the butt of the joke. Anyone can laugh at others and say they have a sense of humour but the true test of this question is to see if Muslims can laugh at themselves. One of them reported a harmless joke so I think I proved that they can't and therefore the question is resolved that they do not have a sense of humour. If we are to have an open forum here Yahoo can't protect one group ahead of everyone else. Every other grouping on this medium get a much tougher time. There must be hundreds of questions and answers insulting Christians, Yanks, Brits, Irish jokes all over the place. If I insist they remove Irish jokes and insults to George Bush would they do it. No they wouldn't. So please can we have a little balance here and stop pandering to a small pressure group

Take your point gemo but no other group is strapping explosives under their clothes at the mo to aim that joke at. Sure didn't we have Semtex jokes about the N.Ireland Nationalists. Scud jokes about Iraq and Israel. No-body is exempt here

I remember your joke.It was pretty funny and I agree that politically incorrect jokes as a whole are pretty funny.

However, all you've proved is that a few people on yahoo answers have no sense of humour and I could have told you that already. You've also proved that you are a tad obsessed over this issue.

That is a total generelisation! Thats like saying catholics dont have a sense of humour in case they offend the pope! I have been to Turkey which is a muslim country and some of them are the funniest lighthearted people I have met! So down to earth! Obviously you will get a negative response from some muslims if you are joking about terrorism it is a very serious problem at the moment and muslims everywhere are getting victimised and abuse ! Try telling it to few more Im sure someones bound to laugh!

What utter nonsense.

That 'joke' has been used so many times even by Muslim comedians. It was even the name of a play.

If you offend one Muslim, then you cannot say all Muslims have no sense of humour. Thats like saying one Irishman who gets offended at an Irish joke means all Irish have no sense of humour. (And can you guarantee it was a muslim you offended?)

One of my mates is Muslim and he has a wicked sense of humour and yes, we can laugh together at certain aspects of the religion. Ramadan being the most recent. But the respect is still there. Its just friendly banter amongst mates.

However, I agree that whoever removed the joke should not have done. It's not the person who reported the joke or the religion you need to get annoyed at but the Yahoo administrators.

properly now, Naroy sicko! it somewhat is relaxing to opt for via the reaction on your question that creatures of your inferior mentality are in a minority. As on your so called comedian tale, it replaced into approximately as humorous as 9/11, no ask your self you have been violated. of direction Jews have a feeling of humour, yet why would desire to you section out Jews, all races and cultures have a feeling of humour, all settle for human beings such as you, and of direction fascists. yet returned to the Jewish (sense of humour) question. by the an prolonged time it somewhat is been the Jewish sense of humour that has consistently ensured their survival; even interior the dying camps of the 0.33 reich it replaced into their ability to laugh at themselves and their plight that saved them alive (properly i do no longer think of the nutrition had something to do with it). Now shall we face it people who can see the humorous area decrease than circumstances like that would desire to truly have a feeling of humour. What do you think of?

I'm afraid you haven't actually proven anything, the fact that one Muslim person (how do you know they were Muslim anyway?)didn't find the humour in your joke means nothing. You cannot generalise that to a whole population of people. Some people just don't have a sense of humour irrespective of their race, beliefs etc. Otherwise I agree with your sentiment.

A few problems with your analysis:

1. You were reported. From this it follows that one person found your joke objectionable. For all you know this could have been a non-Muslim. Even if (as seems likely) it was a muslim its still only one. You may well have had half the muslim world wetting themselves with just one complaining: hardly proof.

2. You assume that "a sense of humour" means you have to find a particular joke amusing. For all you know they may be watching Benny Hill shows non stop and, again, wetting themselves with mirth. I think Ricky Gervais' standup is hilarious. I don't find "The Office" amusing. As I find something funny I think its fair to say that I do have a sense of humour, it just differs from those who find "The Office" funny.

3. You assume that your joke was funny. Rather than,,,,er,,,farily lame actually.

Obviously not all Muslims are short of a sense of humour though some may not appreciate yours or my sense of humour. However, I agree that there must be a level playing field so far as insults are concerned. The whole censorship thing stems from FEAR. Mainly fear of reprisals! If I was sat in a Yahoo office somewhere I'd be scared to death of upsetting our religiously fanatical brothers too!

No, I don't agree.

First of all a sense of humor is something that an individual has, and is not dependent on one's religion. Only foolish people would agree with you.

For another thing, it is impossible to prove a negative, so your statement cannot be true.

P.S.
How do you know it was a Muslim who reported you? Perhaps another one of us thoughtful non-Muslim individuals was offended by your off-color joke. Also, has it occurred to you that what you posted was simply not funny?

Thats completly narrow minded, you are purely working on guess work on who reported you....complete lack of evidence you have generated a stupid story to back up your boring opinions
