I am really nervous about gettin into medical school. My grades are ok but not perfect. My GPA is a 3.7. Will I make it?

GPA is one of three important legs that determine your acceptance into med school. More important is the MCAT score. This is because there is no way for a medical college to standardize GPAs from all the undergraduate institutions of its prospective students. A score of 8 or higher on the MCAT helps your cause. Also you need to have a good interview. Make sure youre up on current medical issues. Visit websites to learn about those topics (universal care, medical ethics, alternative therapies, HMOs, etc and so on). Good luck.

G.P.A. from where? If it's from Yale and you were a chemistry major. probably you are home free. If it's from Nowhere U. and you took the minimum preMed req courses, you could be in trouble.

What does the premed advisor at your school say? What has the experience of kids in the premed society at your school been? Do you really think you are going to get a good analysis from the people here?

There are other factors besides grades. The medical aptitude test, probably an interview. Who knows?
