Fire would suit me better...lightning does not really have all that many uses and I would imagine that it is a little more difficult to control...
Lightning is a little too flashy (pardon the pun). I think fire is a little more understated and would be more alluring than lightning...

Lightning has a temperature higher than any fire. So, unless I want to cook my food with my power, I'd choose lightning.

It would soooooo have to be lightning. Think of all the fires you could start and you'd save a fortune on christmas lights and electricity :)

Tough one...if you had fire you could always eat cooked stuff, the main concern otherwise is if you sneezed or something could you accidently lightning someones a** off?

lightning coz u can kill people with 1 bolt light a whole town for a year with one bolt and start a realy big fire with a coupple of bolts.
