Is it possible to buy a phone from another company then switch? like say i wanted the T Moblie SideKick 3 but i have Cingular. Can i switch the t moblie phone to cingular, so i can still use cingular? Someone told me that if you buy the phone full price, you can switch to a different company. Is that true?

If you unlock the Sidekick you can use it on Cingular, but only as a phone. Cingular won't support the sidekick features (Im, Internet, etc.) because Cingular is on a different data network than T-Mobile.

As of right now, Cingular doesn't support the Sidekick. T-Mobile is the only one at the time.
