My friend of 10 years, Tammie, suddenly accused me of stealing a lotto ticket (which I'd never do) last year and went off on me for no reason, and I decided at that point to call our relationship off. I decided I was tired of this...see, her other friend, Jennifer, kept telling me she was using me to do her computer work. So, I didn't listen. I guess she had even told her that's the only reason she stayed friends with me. Anyway, I saw her in town a few months ago and said hi. She was cold. Aloof. Today, she has her daughter, Tiffany, contact me to have me fix her computer. She did it under the guise that it's her daughter's computer, but I found out it's not. Do I fix it and make up or should I just let her go? This is so hard. I really cared for her. I really got hurt last time, also. I don't know what to do. You'd think we're all teenagers, but we are in our 40s and 50s...

Thanks

Charge her.... if you are going to fix it then charge her. Yall are not friends and i dont think that she is worth your friendship. so if I were you dont get too close to her again or you will be in for another heart break.

Same thing happened to me, my friend said I stole the camera I let her borrow. If she wanted a camera so bad she could have asked for it as a xmas present. I know that after being treated like dirt and called a thief I wanted nothing to do with someone like that. You need to evaluate how much more crap you are going to take, maybe not now but down the line as the friendship progresses once again. I chose to cut my loss and run, God knows what else was gonna come from that person.

From her "Hello" to you when you saw her it sounds like she knows you are computer handy and wants to save $40.00. In other words she is using you. IT services are not free and maybe you should suggest to your friend's daughter she look in yahoo local for a computer repair place or suggest best buy.

I would say that at this stage in your life, you could do without all of the drama that seems to come with your friend. If her daughters computer needs to be fixed, there are places that can do just that for her. I would write her off as a bad experience and go on - never to look back. Let her play her games with someone elses head.

I wouldn't fix it. You heard it from the other friend that she was just using you. If she wasn't then she would of already contacted you herself. Why let yourself be used again. DON"T do it. She made the choice now let her pay for it to be fixed.

It really sounds as if she is using you...in which case, no you shouldnt help her.

By the way, Did you ever clear it up with her that you DIDN"T steal her lottery ticket? (if you didn't that is) Maybe that's why she was cold.

sounds to me like she is trying to use you or maybe she feels guilty over what she did,i would just ignore her because she will only hurt you again, look for better friends else where.

just because its fell down romanticaly, theres no need for her not to be a pal and stay friends, and get youself a new romantic girlfriend, just keep her as a pal, see how it goes,
