You can find the answer by turning the fraction into a decimal. Divide the denominator into the numerator.
So, for example, divide 3 into 1. This will give you the fraction expressed as a decimal. Then compare it to .35.
Do the same thing with the second one.

One third is smaller than 0.35. I am pretty sure that 0.9 is bigger than seven over eight.

SO .35 IS GREATER

1/3=.3333333333 which is smaller than .35

1/3 would equil .33333333 so .35 is bigger than .33333--
7/8 or 9/10....9/10

0.35 b/c 1/3 is 0.3333333..... repeating, do the same for the other problem.
