Stand on the wall and bob your head.Or stay in your seat and just move ur arms and clap. You look like you know how to dance but you just dont feel like hitting the dance floor.Works every time.

For slow dances: hold his left hand with your right hand, and put your left hand on his upper arm (not up on his shoulder, but on his upper arm muscle). For fast dances, copy what he does. This day in age, the formality of the event does not change the way you dance. I assure you he will be just as nervous if not more nervous than you.

Slowdancing is the easiest - you just sway to music together as a couple. Dancing isn't hard to learn, but I don't know how many hours/days/months do you have on your hand.
