My stress test showed I was having them but didn't feel anything. I've been having sharp stabbing pains in my lower belly and pelvis area....is that what contractions feel like?

Every pregnancy is different....from morning sickness to contractions....but that does sound like contractions. The best description I could give is BAD cramps. They may be small now, but when you are ready, you will KNOW for sure you are having them! Best of luck!

yes, it sounds as though you are having contractions. now the next question is are you going to be able to read these answers before the baby comes or after? some women have false contractions, others do not. don't be afraid to go to the hospital if you think this could be it. doctors see this all the time. that way you and the baby will be kept healthieast. i wish you all the best.

Could be. Contractions do not fit into a mold. Every woman is different. Besides at 38 weeks it is still iffy as to whether you will have them or not. Every woman is different. So some may not have contractions until week 41.
