Buy Nothing Day? Never heard of it! Ok, so what will you do?Stock up on food and essentials the day before so you don't buy anything on that day? Comes to the same thing doesnt it?

Does buy nothing mean pay for nothing too? So what if, say, you have a leak, water spouting everywhere, and you need a plumber..... would you not call him out, and pay him? I think not!

I think you'll have a bit of trouble actually buying anything on the 25th, everything in England is usually shut. I like the idea of not buying anything for other people; I'll get my paper scissors and glue and make them some presents instead. I fancied buying myself a new pair of shoes, but it can wait a few days.

It is my understanding that this "Buy Nothing Day" is part of a leftwing extremist agenda. These are people who (for whatever reason) do not see capitalism as a good thing. I cannot support such an outrageous scheme.

Who ever made up Buy Nothing Day didn't really think about it.
I'll find it hard with three DAUGHTERS...on a Saturday don't think I'll be participating.

I would say that the idea sounds great but one day is just too short. what about one month only buying food ( and beer )
