The pictures that we have of Akhenaten are of statues of him which were up high, and meant to be viewed from below, which would create a fore-shortening effect. The sculptors of these statues therefore elongated his features to get over this problem. These statues weren't designed to be seen face-on, as we see them. This is why he looks weird. Having said that, he does have a protruding stomach. He could've had that disease. But I'd like to see where the thing about him being bisexual comes from. On the statue, perhaps they just showed small private parts - doesn't make him bisexual. Or perhaps the respondent means not fully male. Don't know about that one.
Anyway, no, I don't see that there is any reason to think he was an alien.
There are some interesting books by Ahmed Osman about him, which have theories worth considering, although in my opinion, he goes too far. Akhenaten wanted to strip out all the superfluous gods and return to the worship of the one true God, which he called the Aten and portrayed as the sun disk.
There is also a beautiful and powerful prayer, supposedly written by Ahkenaten, which is extremely similar to one of the Psalms usually attributed to Soloman. Perhaps he was Soloman too!

Akhenaten was an artist, a prophet, and a tyrant. For better or worse, he was among the greatest visionaries in human history. Within a span of ten years he created a new religion, built a new world capital, and drove a new movement in art. This achievement would be remarkable in any age. Against the deeply conservative backdrop of pagan Egypt, it is miraculous. An alien being, very possible, the Anunnaki ruled the world and he certainly had the power.

He was not an alien. His appearance was believed to be due to an genetic abnormality which is well known. He thought, and quite rightly in my opinion, that all life relied on the sun so that was the only god worth worshipping. I sometimes wonder if he had an the same ulterior motive as Henry VIII had when he split from Rome. To grab some of the riches of the temples

Akhenaten was not an Alien. He had a genetic disorder that resulted in his his bone structure especially facially being somewhat different. He was also very forward thinking and was called the heretic king after proclaiming he was a living god and that he should be worshipped. It all ended in tragedy and after his death all trace of him was destroyed, and his son Tutankhamen spent his short life avoiding being associated with his fathers mistakes. But Tutankhamen will always be remembered as the most famous Pharaoh.

What was unusual about the way he looked?
Lots of the Pharaohs worshipped Ra the Sun God who is depicted as being like a disc, but I have not heard of Akanartum before so I'd like to know what was particularly unusual about him?

Why would anyone of sane mind imagine Akhenaten to be an ALIEN! A little historical research will replace such lunatic ideas. He was a religious innovator, he upset the priesthood, replacing Egypt's large pantheon of Gods with a more or less, single God of his preference ( Aten). Absolutely NOTHING to do with UFO`s.

Know about his supposed genetic condition.Did you know pharaohs and priests etc., took a substance referred to as "white bread"?A derivative of gold!Could this be responsible for some of their somewhat strange appearance?I think so.The Jews, Babylonians and Greeks all knew it and named it; although Jews named it "manna" meaning unknown.Modern science is just catching up.Categorised with platinum and gold. It' s properties hold the key to many future discoveries.Check it out!May be the answer. p.s. this substance can exude extreme light like the sun.

Don't get confused over his physical representation - remember it does not infer his actual image, more likely it is to emphasise his separation from the mere mortals that were, his subjects.
So, what I am saying is that NO I do not believe he was an extra-terrestrial.
(Incidentally you might be interested in exploring the work of Modigliani.)
