Apparently the recast Lily (Davetta Sherwood) didn't fit into the cast very well, and when the old Lily expressed interest in coming back, the producers jumped at the chance to bring her back. See the story below:

I don't remember where I read it, but it was somewehre on the net that the new girl who played Lily got fired and didn't get accepted very well or something by the rest of the cast. I am not exactly sure why the other girl came back though b/c I didn't read that article, but am sure glad she is back b/c she did a lot better job with the character than taht other girl they just got rid of.

Because miss sherwood was causing problems on the set and she did not like the actor who plays daniel very much . good luck and god bless and happy thanksgiving.

I dunno but I'm glad they did. Their suppose to be bringing back the old Victoria (Heather Tom) as well.
