This sounds silly, but are your feet cold? I've heard that cold feet can contribute to insomnia. Try keeping your feet warmer by wearing socks or keeping your blankets wrapped around them.

Classic insomnia. It's usually not a huge problem, but it can certainly make you feel awful and perform less than satisfactorily.

It's probably caused by your being anxious or stressed out, or perhaps because you eat sugar/caffeine before bed. It's a good idea not to eat anything with processed sugar or any caffeine in it within three hours of going to bed. Maybe it would help you to set up a routine of sorts: get a shower, put on some comfy pajamas, read a little or listen to some soothing music, and do some stretches.

Stretching can really help insomnia, at least in my experience. Pay special attention to your back and chest, as it will make you breathe deeper and feel less tense. Then you can take a few deep breaths in and out, and you can just drift off.

Stress and anxiety or possibly a sleeping disorder. You should definitely see a doctor. Being tired all the time is no fun and there are lots of different sleep aids out on the market now that you could be prescribed.

I think you have a busy mind. Has something been bothering you or stressing you out? I know that happens to me alot. A cure that works for me is taking a Tylenol PM and enjoy a nice relaxing hot bath or shower, just stand under the spray and let it sooth you. And then straight to bed, no phone, no tv, no interruptions.
