i have a solid brown halter top silk chiffon dress, and want to know if ivory colored satin pumps would go with it.... it looks good to me, but i dont have the best fashion sense. i'd also be wearing a cropped sweater the same color (ivory).

I think that would look just fine to me. Go for it!

My dress is ivory as well, and I'm either doing black or navy blue satin shoes to match the groomsmens' suits. Pure white would clash, but ivory is a neutral, so it will go with anything except a different shade of white. You could do the traditional ivory shoes if you wanted. Or, if you wanted to have some fun and be a little funky, get shoes to match your BM dresses or groom's tux or vest color. I'm a huge fan of the bridal shoes with color. SO cool and a great way to be different without going overboard.

no, i would wear a different color pair of shoes, tan, beige, any shade of brown, or even white, but nothing darker than the dress, especially not black or ivory

Absolutely. Especially if the sweater is the same color.

Shoes should match the dress in this case. Sorry! Brown shoes or nothing.
