i mean what difference does it make if an actor is shot or a regular man? how come the murder case of a famous person is known more than a regular person. i belive a person is a person and it is a huge deal when somebody is murdered. just because some1 can act or looks handsome, why are they considered so much more important?

If someone famous is murdered it garners more attention because more people know of/about the person than the guy who lives down the street from you. It's not that they are more important, but that the story has a wider audience. More people are interested in the fact that Joe Moviestar was shot than that Sally WorksAtAnInsuranceCompany was shot. Unless Sally WorksAtAnInsuranceCompany was white, pregnant and killed by her husband. Then you can get people to care a bit.

Actors are not more important than regular people. They are more exposed than the people we see on the street so therefore some people start to feel as if they know the actor because of all the movies or shows they have seen them in, not to mention the talk shows that they are on. I feel sad for the regular people that are murdered or die because they most likely have not experienced anything spectacular in their lives like most of the actors that die or are murdered.

They're not more important. We as a society may act as if they are, and they will certainly come to believe that it's true in many cases, but the fact is that acting and/or performing is simply the way in which they make their living.

We can certainly appreciate their talent and enjoy their artistic and entertainment abilities, but that doesn't make them any more important than any of the people that we meet in our lives every day.

There not more important. Just well known. Because more people know of them, the story of their injury or death will travel faster.

If something happens to say Oprah, the news will spread really fast because one person will know and tell another and so forth. Since we "know" the person, we will spread the news.

But, if say something happens to one of your neighbours, you'll tell your parents or maybe a friend and they might tell one other person IF they know your neighbour and the chain will stop there.

They aren't. They are everyday people, that have jobs that cause them to be in the spotlight. We place them in a special catergory...that is our fault not theirs. We just need to stop making them more important than they really are.

they shouldn't be any more important than anyone else but most times they think and act like they are superior. ppl who worship them must have sad little lives.

We should all be treated the same regardless of what we are wearing, or what we look like, or how much money we make.
