Going into labor ??

I there anything you can do to help put you into labor faster?

I am 38 weeks!!

Don't rush it, it'll come when its ready to come. If the doctors feel that labor should be induced, they will induce it. They've done it many times before.

I am unaware of how to make labor come faster, but if you exercise daily and take a good brisk half hour walk a day, that will make the actual labor faster and more comfortable.

Have sex, go on a bumpy drive, walk up and down stairs or just go for a walk. Or try caster oil but it could put you in false labor! I tried that it tastes really bad and it did put me in false labor. But if your baby is ready to come out then it will work!!! Congrats!

I hear that lots of walking helps. I'm really not sure though since I have never carried all the way to full term myself. I have lots of friends that have and I have taken lots of early childhood development courses and love working with young children but since I have never actually given birth can't say for certain but I have been told that by a few of my friends. I don't think there is anything to recommend. Let nature take its course. I know you are probably getting uncomfortable. I have heard that raspberry tea is a good thing to drink to make the uterus stronger and able to contract better during the delivery.

Drink castor oil mixed with oj, worked for me, but had a sore pooper too, also causes diarrhea, also can try having sex, helps to ripen the cervix, unless your doctor has forbid it in your case. Then again, you been preggers 38 weeks, whats a couple more.......maybe.

OMG...I have sooo been there, I couldn't wait to go into labor for both my kids...my sister did the castor oil thing....and it always worked for her (4 times!), but didn't work for me, just made me sick as a dog....

But if your body is not "ripe" there is nothing you can do, just wait for nature. I know your probably fed up and uncomfortable but just think it can take up to 40 weeks for your babies lungs to develop.
