yeah, i know, it's a bad internet conversation to bring out. but i am just interested in what people want to say about the drug. i myself have never tried it, so i am curious about people's opinions. please be open.

I know all about it but have never tried it and have never really wanted to. My dad use to smoke it allot, it made him act awful so I would NEVER do it.

it won't kill ya, but it won't help ya either. the giggling will wear off after a while and then you'll just be lazy and unambitious. that's the truth. It's not going to really hurt your memory or make you stupid--but you won't be accomplishing much either. it's better not to get into just because you can find better things to do with your time; for example, you could be practicing at a hobby (writing, playing basketball, being a part of something) and invest that time to make yourself really great at it-- because you don't really get any better at being a pot head. it's not as bad as ciggarettes--or alcohol for you as far as health wise--, but it IS a major waste of time. There are better ways to relieve stress, relax, or just pass time. and with a name like Mari Jayne, me telling you this, should really say something about the source ;-) trust me--it's nothing spectacular and probably not worth trying....
as far as the gate way thing goes, if you're gonna smoke pot, you're probably the kind of person that would do other drugs anyways so that "gateway drug" excuse is a crok of bull!
but overall: Pot= overrated.
I know that makes me look like a big hippicrit but i'm just being honest and giving you the honest bad side from my point of view.

Yes I did when I was a teenager. I am 46 now and if I could do it over I wouldn't use it. I never went on to harder drugs but I know many who did. I do consider it a gateway drug.

I have smoke pot in the form of hash for 30 years .
...I have brought up two beautiful children, and held and continue to hold employment..
I had never had any desire to try other drugs.. I have given it up
over a year ago with no side effects,in fact I find it harder to stop
smoking cigaretts!

Never had a will to try it. It just seems dumb, maybe I'll try it in the future but as for now, I'm cool.
