like everyone says use a hose! then a toothbrush. once they are clean put hem up on top of the hot water heater. for some reason this gets shoes dry in like 2hrs

Bucket of hot soapy water and an old toothbrush. Hold trainers upside down and sideways while cleaning. By the way, wear rubber gloves cos you don't want it on your hands do you! Clean them outside and use kitchen roll to dab soles afterwards to dry. Throw the dirty water away in the garden NOT down the kitchen sink! Bin the rubber gloves too.
