Night? Day? Didn't matter. My son only slept in 2 - 3 hours spurts. He woke up when he was hungy. Give it a few more weeks and the time will continue to increase. You may need to learn how to sleep during the day too, if you find yourself too tired...

Newborns typically sleep anywhere from 10 to 18 hours a day, so there is incredible variability in how much a 2-week-old or a 4-week-old is going to sleep. There is no differentiation between night and day, so they're sleeping anywhere from 30 minutes to three hours around the clock. Starting around eight weeks, they're awake more during the day and sleeping more at night.
Infants (3- to 12-month-olds) need between 14 and 15 hours of sleep a night

They should sleep a total of about 15-18 hours in a 24 hour period. The more they sleep in the day the less at night and vicecersa.

6-week old children have little perception of night and day. If they are breast-feeding, they are sleeping two-three hours at a time. They can sleep up to 12 hours a night (including the feeding breaks)
