They're almost certain to take the House. They'll gain a few seats in the Senate, but fall 1 or 2 short of taking control.

Just found out on the BBC, the Dems have the House of Representatives, but it's a VERY close tie for the Senate.
My family members - in the States - are going to be really upset as they think this system we have now is the absolute best ever and that Bushy baby is the cats meow!
I'm Independent, they are ALL Republicans!
Need to correct the above sentence, not all family members are Repubs. My one Aunt and Cousin are Dems all the way and they can't stand Bush.

It would be nice to see them take both houses, but the Democrats will probably only gain control of the House of Representitives. I did vote for a democratic Senator in my state, so good luck Dems!!

It's possible, but the consensus is that they'll take the House, pull closer in the Senate, yet still be in the minority there. However, there are enough swing Republican votes in the Senate now, that even with a minority there, the democrats can still exert considerable influence. We may see Bush start vetoing.

I dont know its not overe till its over-----------All i know is i went and voted early---- In Tn i voted for a native american (independent party ) for governor,i wrote in my brother-in-law for state rep and for the dem senate... I'm just trying to say to all the politicians that people do really care and want this system to work like it suppose to work-------(keep kicking out the incumbents till we get what best for the country )This is a wake-up call not only for the politicians but for the voters as well !!
