All browsers contain certain "form fillers" that let you save your data you have entered into forms.
Firefox::Tools>Options>Privacy>Saved Forms> check the option
IE::Tools>Internet Options>Content>Auto Complete>"Use auto complete" for- CHECK forms

If you are talking about on a web page, this is an auto-complete feature that is available in many applications, such as the google toolbar.
If you are referring to a stand alone application for applications such as word processors, I am not sure.

I am sure exactly what you are asking. But IE has an auto complete funtion. Tool-InternetOptions-Content-AutoComplete.
