Seeing only the sac depends on how far along you are. If you are more than say 7 or 8 weeks, its unfortunate that the baby probably did not develop.

First off I hope this is not the issue with you. It is a very emotional thing to go threw. Are you having bad morning sickness? If so and maybee if not you might behaving a molar pegnancy. this is were the egg drops with no genetic make up and since it was fertalized it is just a mass of rapidly multiplying cells that can not be seen on an ultrasound. I have had this it took over a month to figure out what it is. You need to have your HGC levals checked again to see if they are sky rocketing. if so then it is most likely a molar. To remove you will have to have a D&C. This is very important because it could be canceris. My cells were not cancer but they still concider it a form of cancer. Just be patient and stick with your DR. Maybee metion about a posible molar pregnancy because it is very very rare. I was in colorado springs at the time and I was the first person in 8 years to have that there.

That sounds about right, according to this chart, You do not see an embryo until the 6th week. Sounds liike you got the US one week too early. Of course one can never r/o an ectopic pregnancy with just a sac so be careful to go to the ER if you get really bad pain. Otherwise just hang in there until your follow up Ultrasound.

I'm not sure what the question is...but if you are stating that you are pregnant and there is no baby, only the sac, then don't worry. Your doctor should have told you this. It happens quite often. My doctor told me that it might even happen to every woman, only most have a miscarriage after a month or two, so they don't even realize they are pregnant.
Your doctor should have given you further instructions, as well as pain killers for when you do miscarry. Believe me, you will want them! If not, either go back, or get another doctor.
