syrup is a solution, it is clear and has much sugar dissolved.
milk is not a solution, it is not clear, particles are too big
eye drops are solutions, clear
tomatoe juice is not, not clear
tap water is, many minerals dissolved

Maple syrup is a solution; a VERY concentrated solution of sugars in H2O.
Milk is not a solution, it's a suspension. The fact that it's opaque is one indicator of this.
Eyedrops are a solution. They're clear.
Tomato juice is pretty much not a solution. It's a suspension (opaque, again). However, tomato juice is partly a solution, because it contains things like dissoved salt, minerals, acids, etc.
Tap water is a solution, since it contains dissolved minerals. Absolutely pure water isn't a solution, it's a single substance.

*un-like previous answer TomatoJuice is a Solution. Expecially if your talking about canned TomatoJuice, many chemicals are added. Pure Squeezed Tomato I would say Simple Solution.
*Solution is a mixture of one or more substances
*Most things are Solutions and as you see TapWater May seem like a solution so some call it a Simple Solution.
