You say you're a pro-choice dad. Generally that means you support the woman's right to choose. You can try appealing to her and possibly agreeing to write up everything in a contract regarding who will pay for prenatal care, hospital bills, and ultimately do an adoption directly to you if she wants to be legally erased from the baby's records.

No. Moreover, you should not have knocked her up. Like it or not, the baby is in her body, not yours, which is why her choice should supersede yours. Is it fair? Perhaps not. However, nature created us in such away were the fetus is in her body, which I believe should give the woman final say regarding the matter. Conversely, if the fetus were in the man, then I would say he should have final say. What would be interesting is if the fetus were in an incubation chamber, then I might argue that both should have equal say in the matter.

On a side note, if ever people hope to end the abortion debate, then they should focus on eliminating unwanted pregnancies. No unwanted pregnancies equals no abortions, which would bring an end to the debate since the issue would be moot.

No you dont. You dont have to endure child birth. You dont have to endure the dangers of child birth and the damage it does to your figure etc. It is so sad that you want it and your gf doesnt but mabye if you can convince your gf to have it and you take custody something can be worked out, and not to sound like a nag but mabye use some protection next time.

Absolutely not. First and foremost it is NOT YOUR body with a developing fetus inside. It is the mother's body and she is the one that would have to carry the fetus to full term and delivery the baby when it is grown.

I believe that the mother has the ultimate right to do with HER OWN body as she chooses regardless of what you want!

According to USA laws no. If the mother chooses to terminate the pregnancy there is nothing you can do about it because according to the Supreme Court the father's wishes and opinions don't matter.

that's really tough. i definitely think you should have some say in the matter but unfortunately no matter what your opinion is, she's ultimately the one who will make the decision because it's her body and she's the one who will have to carry the baby. the best you can do is try to talk her out of it. perhaps she would consider giving birth and then relinquishing her rights as a parent to you.

yes....but also it is her body. she is the one having it. she can go get an abortion if she wants without you knowing about it. just talk to her, tell her how you feel and how bad you want the kid. try to talk sense into her but if she wont listen try getting someone else. maybe shes just nervous. let her calm down a little. good luck!

I wish it were that simple. I definitely think you have a say in this decision, BUT what its going to come down to is...it is her body and what she decides to do she'll do. The best thing you can do is try your best to convince her NOT to kill your unborn child and see what happens. Best of Luck to you!

No, unfortunately you don't have any rights to her body or her killing the baby. There are 1 or 2 states that you could try to file a law suit claiming her to be unstable and unable to make the desicions herself. It's a shame women can be murder's and men have no say.

No matter what you have a choice. However the sad part is, It is her body and if she doesn't love you or respect you, she probably is going to do as she pleases!
