my nipples are insanely sensitive! they are like a purplish reddy color and always erect. they hurt even to run water over them. i'm not in my home country, should i go to a doc or just wait to see if they stop hurting?

If you are in your first trimester, take comfort that most women get past this in the second and third trimesters. Get some witch hazel and some soft cotton pads. Soak the pads in the witch hazel and refrigerate for a few minutes. Then apply them to your nipples to soothe the soreness. This is also helpful for your female area after the birth but use feminine pads instead. I hope this helps you.

I assume you are pregnant if your nipples are hurting. How long do you plan on being out of your home country? If you do not feel comfortable with talking to a doctor outside your home country then go home. If this problem persists and it will especially during the first few weeks of being pregnant go see a doctor.

did you just stop breast feeding all together? the pain will go away. if you have not had the baby yet and they are hurting that bad i would see a doctor. also Johnson and Johnson makes nipple cream that helps soothe them. or you could try this take a clean diaper. dampen it and place it in the microwave for about 13 seconds. Instant heating pad place it over your shirt on top of your sore nipple. good luck and i hope this helps.
