Why? Because she really is an idiot! She may as well go on Jerry Springer and get some beads!

Here is a simple answer: She doesn't want to lose what she have and also to lose a chance what she can get out of you in the long run....She doesn't care about how foolish she looks and she really don't care all she wants is to get what she can out of you even though you know the truth and even though that she knows the truth. Do what must be done at this point show her no mercy....and don't waver from your decision...Do what must be done...And don't show any mercy what so ever!

Probably on her lawyers advice.
Contesting the divorce shows the court/judge (in theory) that she's remorseful and doesn't want to lose the man she loves. It actually gives her a bargaining chip with the courts. It makes her look sorry, and pitiful and try to show that she will suffer if she loses him.... all reasons to compensate her with more money, I'm afraid.

If this is in California, contesting a divorce is unheard of. You can get a divorce for any reason in the state of California. Contesting will just cost her a lot of money, I think the minimum is $3,000.00. She's a fool, plain a simple.

Sounds to me like she is desperately trying to salvage her relationship with her husband.........Just because she cheated on him does not mean she doesn't LOVE him and she is trying to keep what she has together.....You know, sometimes, people cheat and then realize it was the worst mistake they have ever made and they wish they could take it back but they can't and they will do ANYTHING to prove they are sorry!......Perhaps AFTER cheating she realized what a GREAT guy he is and wants to keep him!

The children. Womens lawyers strongly tell their clients to never admitt to infidelity no matter the compelling evadence. It makes winning the child custody and getting child support harder.

okay i got bad news for u well maybe where i live in the state of florida which this might not apply to the state your in but it might be and idea to check on usually it doesnt matter if she is legally married to him it is his child and he will have rights to the child until he gives them up the reason i know is because i left my husband and had another child that wasnt with him when we went to court to get our divorce the judge would not allow it until my ex gave up his rights to my little girl even though him and i both agreed she wasnt his my fiance had to go to court and my ex had to give up his rights on the spot and my fiance had to accept the rights of her. but if he has a dna test done he can get out of it and its sad she would try to pin this on him just so she can try to keep him best of luck to your ummmm b/f or friend.

i am not sure the entirety of the situation, but in my state there is no alimony and infidelity does not play a part in a divorce.....but like I said, I do not know the specifics of the law or your situation. and if he is not the father, then he probably would not have to pay support.

maybe she's trying to have a relationship and the child will be loved (she hopes) by another man anyway. hopefully the child has good genes and good parents even if they don't match.
