I am 36 weeks 3 days and just had my first bout of false labor contractions (15 minutes apart, one minute each, for 3 hours). With other mothers- how long was it until you went into real labor???

ughhhh. I had contractions at home for 4 days till it was accualy time. They say 5 minutes apart lasting longer than 30 seconds. I kept calling the doctor and kept getting checked. They sent me home at 3cm! I was in so much pain 4 days before labor that I was so tired. Once I got to the hospital things were okay. I just kept going. I waited till they got closer together. Good luck too you! I recomend the epidural! ;-)

Well I had steady contraction 3 minutes apart for about 5 hours and then they stopped suddenly and I was sent home from the hospital...this was almost 3 full weeks before I had a scheduled c-section. The nurses really thought it was going to lead the the real thing and then nothing happened...so it really just varies and can't be predicted :) Sorry.

sometimes a couple months. with my son i had false when i was six months pregnant and 3 months later i had real labor contractions

It could be any where from 1 hour to 6 weeks, you never know.
