Absolutely. I often connect via my phone. It needs to have a modem built in, you can connect via bluetooth, infrared or data cable and then you're away

Yes but expensive.
I use a vodafone connect card, get 75 Mb per month and pay £20.
I only use it when out and about, by comparison on my home laptop I regularly use over 75 G a month.
Try to see if the mooring has services provided which will allow a 'phone line.

You can get Internet access using the same technology as a mobile phone, we use them at work, connections can be slow, but it is possible.

Great u have been saved it is possible 2 live without a mobile.also u have smashed it in time before yu get addicted to it so try keeping a landline so that others will share the burden of having to take all the crank calls'

if your computer has a wirless card capable of bluetooth collaboration yu can collaborate with ur phone and dial out to dialup. or if you have a palm pilot w/bluetooth capability link w/ur phone and dial out to dial up internet. try it it's cool. and very inexpensive if you already have the technology.
