I'd dress for a business dinner.

Depends on where you are, such as I would say a NY Rep would have a different dress code than say a Texas Dem. One could be formal the other casual. Best thing is to ask the person who invited you and if they don't know go kind of dressy.

hmmm, if you're going with someone, see what they're wearing. (unless they're in the same spot as you with the clothing thing) i would just wear a sport coat and a collared shirt with some dockers and a light dress shoe. roll up a tie and put it in your pocket if you find that it is a formal event.

Probably more like business up-casual, but if you're worried about it go semi-formal.

I'd go business casual -- khakis or nice slacks, button down shirt or polo, tie if you're feelin' it (only with the button down!).

Cocktail attire, or business attire would be fine. Nothing too fancy. Have fun! I hope your candidate wins!
