Not really. It's an old rule that doesn't apply to present day. So go ahead and wear your whites!

It's supposed to be, and I don't know where the rule came up from, if it's even a rule. In the East Coast, I've seen alot of people still wearing it more than winter white. The clothing stores are even selling clothes that are made warmer that are the color white. So who knows. We first need to find out why it is?..

I think that you can wear white if you want to. I think that you just have to wear it in moderation. Instead of a bright white sweater or jacket try to wear a "winter White" (winter white meaning an off white) or a cream color. So I say go wear white if you want to and you think it looks good or you wear a white substitute, but still in the white family.

I don't feel that it's a fact anymore. There are many shades of white. Wear what you feel comfortable in. I think this rule is out-dated.
