Not only is it unlikely that you have a "water pressure control valve" for the house, it is likely that you have build up on the inside of the water pipes. It is really likely if the water pipe in your house is galvanized pipe in lieu of copper.

You could go to the meter and make certain that the valve at your meter is all the way open, but you may just need new water pipes.

Many houses don't have a seperate water pressure control, you just get what your water company send you. Some houses located at the bottom of hilly areas may have a pressure reducing valve to drop the pressure because it has to be so high to get proper pressure on top of the hill. These would usually be located at the meter.

The pressure control for most houses in my area is somewhere in the front yard, it usually appears like a large flat-topped bolt set into the ground. Usually you need to get a water inspector from the community to come if you want to adjust it.

I agree with aussie. Unless you have a well and pressure tank your city sets the water pressure. It is usually gravity flow from a water tank set high. You could add a pressure tank to your house and pump up the pressure that way.
