I would get a very gorgeous fabric (textured, colorful whatever) and use it as a patch. That's the only real way to get longevity out of ripped jeans without cutting them into jeans. I used heavy thai patterned silk to patch the knee of my favorite pair of jeans and used the fabric to band around the top of the back pockets and the very bottom of the pant legs and everyone asks me where i got them from.

How To Patch Ripped Jeans

2016-11-12 21:57:25 · answer #2 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

Don't do anything, just leave the way they r!!! I have that to, my favorite jeans have a big rip at the knee and It was fine in the beginning but then every time I would put them on, my big toe would get stock in there and rip little by little that part. First I thought maybe I should fix them, put something on them or cover them with some pins, but u know I just left it the way they r, it's better that way. If it use to was cool I think it's still is!!! If u like your jeans then leave them alone, or if it's really bad then just by new ones.

Your best bet is to go to a fabric store and search for a iron on patch that matches your jeans. I would suggest you reinforce the other jean leg as well before it too starts fraying. It is simple and fast. Just turn your jeans inside out and patch away!!

Ripped jeans are always in style just add some beads around the rip and wash them a couple times to make them fray....I did that for my grand daughter and she loved them!

Why would you want to fix them? Ripped is so IN right now!!! Gap, Ambercrombie, Express, they all charge upwards of 80 bucks for the ripped/wrinkled jeans look. So go ahead, rip those jeans, you'd probly look pretty cool in them.

Keep them ripped! That's always an awesome style, and you get it much cheaper then what major retail chains charge for them!

try making the rip a style... make the rip look like it was done on purpose-it'll be stylish and you don't have to do a lot of work on it
