Sorry "fake" is the wrong word, this was me quoting what people put. I think "staged" is a better word.

fake is completely the wrong word! i mean YES it is staged by the writing crew , eg. the outcome of the matches , backstage goings on! but who the hell cares? the people who say it is"fake" are the overweight , loners who have never watched a match in there lives! they have never taken the time to sit and watch WWE, and see the passion and excitement and injuries that the superstars generate!just like Rey mysterio said "you try getting slammed in a match by a guy twice the size of you , then getting up and this time get punched or kicked then slammed once more!" these idiots are the people who watch wrestling once , take no notice of the superstars warnings then go out and break the neck of their mate , then have the audacity to blame WWE and other wrestling promotions. they say it to me all the time in school, just to get a response but i just say "its sports entertainment" and some of them say "yeah, but its still fake!" i don't know were they get it from because wwe have never pretended its anything more than sports entertainment! I'm so glad that there is someone who feels the same as me!
i hope this helps!

I love WWE, master of SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT!

I used to work with an independent wrestling promotion in the Midwest (Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, etc...). I wasn't a wrestler, I was the EMT hired to check guys before the show, administer first aid, etc...

There were a few times where people got seriously injured in the ring. So to say that it is fake is not entirely accurate.

Yes, a majority of pro-wrestling is scripted (planned out, if you will). Yes, the wrestlers are trained in how to take falls and make blows look harder than they actually are. The fact is though, accidents can and do happen.

If you can't admire the athleticism that goes into professional wrestling, then don't watch it. If you can't enjoy the sometimes over-the-top storylines, change the channel.

But, for crying out loud, leave me alone with my decision to watch wrestling. Quit telling me "It's fake".

Im glad someone said it, i wanna know how you can fake being thrown off a 25 foot steel cae like mic foley did, and fake that? The story lines re faked and the winners and outcomes are picked before hand, but as anyone who has ever worked in wrestlnig knows a lot of the match is made up between the wreslters on the spot in the match, and you cannot fake the spots they do, of course the talbes are cut to make them break easier and the chairs are made of aluminum to make it hurt less, but it still hurts and the moves still leave the wreslters with bumps and bruises, the mat is just padded to help that.

let me correct you on something. not all wrestling is fake, this is what happens when you arrive at the show the promoter Tell's you if you are going to be the winner or the jobber for the night. i know allot of wrestling out there is just a routine thing there are certain moves that follow others this is basic knowledge for all wrestlers, and although W.W.E pull punches splashes and powerbombs. i never have i prefer the you better hit me cos i sure as hell am gonna hit you way. if wrestling was fake then surely nobody would ever get injured. (ask Phil powers how many ribs he's had broke)

I agree with you. Every time I tell people I am a wrestling fan, the first thing they say is "you know it is fake, right." Yes, I know that. I just like watching it. Movies are fake too, but no one says don't watch movies. Tom Cruise didn't really save the Earth from Aliens, but the movie still made millions of dollars. So get off our back, wrestling is fake, we know, it is entertainment.

Yes wrestling is choreographed. Fake can't be used here because I'd challenge anyone to attempt the athletic moves they use...once again, choreographed yes...but like I once heard...would you rather pay $250 to see a championship boxing match live and the fight possibly last all of 3 minutes...or, would you rather pay $45-$50 to see 3 hrs of good quality entertainment!!! it's not rocket science...it's meant to be fun!

anyone who says that wrestling is fake needs to reconsider when wrestler get injury's such as Triple H's muscle been torn off the bone and then continuing the match, only to be put in the Walls of Jericho, those people who say it's 'fake' are seriously misguided.

ok im sick of this..... wrestling we all know that it's fake but i dont know about you but i still enjoy it anyway. there are a few things that arent fake about it. like how did shawn micheals jump off the 20 foot ladder through mr. mcmahon who was in a trash can. yes some of you will come up with something like fake trash cans or breakaway tables. but hbk must of hurt falling of that 20 foot ladder. something else thats not fake THIER STRONG would you like to tell them to there face that there not real? wouldnt. so if you say that wrestlings fake then go ahead but dont waste our time with it. now see if someone asks if wresltings fake then hey let'em'have'er go all out on them type for minutes hours whatever you want to get it out of your system!

It's not fake as such John, rather scripted. The wrestlers know who's gonna win beforehand and the moves carefully rehearsed. the ref has signals he gets either from his earpiece or from the wrestlers themselves when a fall is about to be scored.
I still love it and watch it anyway tho!

Fake is a poor chioce of words. Scripted is better. Beating the hell outta each other is real. Tell Piper its fake and hell show you what a fake punch feels like
