I will be transferring to PSU State College in Fall of '07. Right now I am going in as an English major, but I would like to have one, if not two, minors as well. The four minors that I have been considering are Technical Writing, IST, Public Relations, and Spanish. If I were to pick two of these, which would you guys recommend I go with. I am at least somewhat interested in all of these subjects. I would really be interested in the opinions of people who are familiar with PSUpark, but I am also curious to hear from anyone working from the degrees I've mentioned. Thanks!

PS I do not want to teach with my English degree, or at all for that matter, so no point in mentioning teaching at all in your responses! LOL

I can help you with 'one' of these at least. I took the Tech writing not too long ago and thought it was great. It's about proper letter writing, both business and personal, as well as resumes, and preparing notes for presentations. Great class and got a lot out of it. Good Luck to you @ PSU.

Penn State...ahhhh the Memories. I had a Major (Nursing, and 2 minors, English, and Prelaw) I am shocked to be alive to tell you all this..it was hard!
My youngest brother in law is there now.
He is quite a smart kid!! He got a perfect score on the SAT's
and then wanted to be like my husband, and wanted to join the Marines, and aced the ASVAB
I say all that, because I asked him just now...
Spanish
It shows diversity, also the fact it is an elective(I think)
and it is an art. It has many things it could fall under in case you need it, the others WILL NOT.
Spanish is the way to go
and go Penn State!!!
