Honestly, we still have paper ballots in my town, and i wrote in "None of the above" for almost everything. Oh, and i wrote my brother in for Sheriff. My friends and i write my brother's name in for sheriff all the time. He actually only lost by 3 votes one year. It is funny becuase no one ever opposes the Sheriff, he has been in power for 18 years or so. So most people just don't even vote for him. This year i have 5 more people convinced to write in my brother's name, so hopefully he will win!

Vote for the party. That is all that matters this year.

Elections are not about picking the candidate you like the most. This is not American Idol, people! Elections are about power. How you vote indirectly can determine which group of people hold power in government. If the Republicans control Congress, they get to pick all the committee chairs, they get twice as much staff, they get to set the agenda, and they get to decide which issues get investigated. If the Democrats control Congress, then they get to set the agenda. So you are not voting for a candidate that suits you. You are voting to decide whether the House is run by Dennis Hastert or Nancy Pelosi. You are voting to decide whether the Senate is run by Harry Reid or by Bill Frist.

I have long since stopped voting by party affiliation... it's the research finding out what the candidate stands for which is hard to find out. Alot of times the commericals give u peeks at just how jerky the one accusing is. I'm voting on issues and the candidates who claim to share my opinions.
