I live in Oil Patch Country plenty of good paying jobs here. Welders, machinists, oil patch workers, they make lots even Macdonalds pays $15.00.

You can get paid $50 per hour - 3 hours minimum, if you speak fluently a foreign language, and English - as an Professional Interpreter.

However you are self-employed in that case, and you make as much as you work. So if you are hired for 2.00 pm for the Court Case, and the case is over in 30 minutes, you get paid for 3 hours , 3x50 = $150. You pay your own taxes.

good luck with that, unless you are highly educated or have a special skill (cabinet making/auto upholsterer/etc) you wont have a good chance. However, in a big city such as Fort Lauderdale, FL the housekeepers and independant handymen make between $20-25/hour
