Pretty much the only music I purchase is the soundtrack for a movie. Say what you will about me, deal with it, it's what I like.
Anyway, give me some recommendations for good soundtracks anything goes (except kids movies)!!

The soundtracks i have are as follows:

O Brother, Where Art Thou (excellent bluegrass and blues stuff)
Pulp Fiction (music for all occasions, very chilled out)
From Dusk Till Dawn (good guitar-songs)
The Matrix (very good industrial, rock and metal stuff, very trancy-trippy)
The Matrix Reloaded (an awesome album, very good listening. If you just get it for Dave Matthews' When The World Ends it's worth it!)
Ray (brilliant if you're new to jazz and blues)
Walk The Line (nothing can beat Johnny Cash)

Then others i would recommend:
Varsity Blues (good solid rock songs)
The Faculty (great alt rock and includes a mindblowing cover of Another Brick In The Wall)
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (fun classic rock songs)
The Big Lebowski (nice chillout music)
The Nightmare Before Christmas (you've gotta love 'This is Halloween')
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (good english rock)
The Crow and The Crow:City Of Angels
Trainspotting (Hooray Iggy Pop!)
The Longest Yard (if you can find the one with the rock songs on, i've only found the one with the rap on it :/ )
Detroit Rock City
Daredevil
Freddy vs Jason

That's about all i can think of now.

Memoirs of a Geisha
Harry Potter 1-3
And the Best of John Williams at the movies are all excellent.
