At least from what I have seen, that is the case. There are many men that want boys, maybe to teach them to be men. Yet a very high number want to have a girl. Why is that, is there something that as a society has taught us, maybe a sort of subcouncious behavior.

well it is funny that you ask this. my husband has only came up with girl names for this baby, and if anyone ask what it is going to be he says it is going to be a girl. i use to think bad thoughts, think that he only wanted a girl so he would not have to spend time with him, bc if it was a boy he would have to take it fishin, and stuff, now i really think it is true what they say,
moma's boy
dadys girl

Most guys remember the kind of behavior they exibited with their parents....they don't want a boy, beacause they know they're in for BIG trouble if there "son" acts anything like they did, when they were a child....They think by having a girl, they won't have to deal the "bad behavior" that their parents had to deal with.

My dad had 10 girls, some men want to have the little girl that they can protect for the rest of their life, and the little girl that will always look up to him as if he is the best men in her life. Just like my dad!!!!

For our first kid my husband secretly wanted a boy although he told everyone he didn't care as long as it was healthy. Well since he got his boy he really want to have a girl this time so we can have one of each until we have more kids in a few years.

That's weird, most of the guys I've seen have always wanted boys. Girls are scarier to raise for men.

it depends. most men who want girls probably love their wives very, very much, and and think the idea of having a little person that they can protect that is very much like the person they love is amazing. also, men (straight men) are sociologically and evolutionarily geared towards loving members of the opposite sex- esp in American culture male expression of love for other men doesn't come very easily. so that could be it.

Because people now have been saying that girls are easier and that's what they want, an easy child, but every child is different and also every person. I knew I was going to have a boy then a girl and that's what god gave me. they both are hard, but they both are my little angels.
