I personally look at the issues that are important to me, and try to vote for the person who best represents my views. I consider myself a moderate with liberal leanings.
I don't like extremism, and I don't like it when people get locked into a position and refuse to consider all sides of an issue (not a big Bush fan . . .)

That question is really more relevant to a primary election than the general election. In the general election, the choice is generally between a Democrat and a Republican, and how liberal or conservative a particular candidate is is generally less important than which party is going to control the Congress.

I am more likely to vote for someone who I agree with the most on the issues.

You bet! I actually wish we had a 3rd major party called the Moderates. The right and left wingers would have some real competition. And we would have more and probably better choices.

OH NO!! If you cant be a conservative....would you do it somewhere else please. Really...lay down your morals and values on the table and line them up with the canidate...most people will choose conservative.
