Did it bother anyone else that a girl had to have her stomach stapled to have a relationship with her Dad? Yes, she looks incredible now, but I think the Dad is her major problem ~ I'd like to punch him out! Dads like him cause so many problems in young girls ~ and do you think she is truly happy with herself? Your opinions, please and/or personal experience. Thanks!! :)

No, I am not fat. there's no 'fat' issue here, except if she wanted to lose the weight for her own reasons, but she did it because she did not feel accepted by him. It's a thing with the Dad, he's a creep.

It is all part of the unfortunate society we live in today. People judge everyone based upon outside looks, and they demand change of others before they are accepted. This of course seems wrong, but it has become more accepted, since people believe that it really does not do any harm. Instead, they think it does good, case in point the girl on Oprah that looked amazing after the surgery. But truth of the matter is that she is not truly her after-surgery self. She was who she was before the surgery, and that is the way others should have learned to love and accept her. This requires a fundamental change in society, one that I am afraid will not come about anytime soon. It will certainly gets worse before it gets any better.

I think what the father did is horrible but she was fat. She wasn't going to have the life she could have being fat. Look how much better she looks and feels now. He went about it the wrong way but I can totally see parts of his side too. When someone is overweight that much they have absolutely no business eating the things she was eating. Even she sees her dad differently now that she lost the weight. She can see his side.

She would be more happy if she saw a shrink and if she EVER could, make her Dad see 1 2!!!! Normally it is Moms that do that kind of ***, but it is a male? Weird! She would/could be REAL happy if someone that SHE trusted would not treat her like crap! Please get her some help, even if u have to do it without anyone knowing. Good luck 4 u all.

I missed that one. But if a girl needs to have major surgery in order to relate to her parents, then that girl needs some serious therapy. Her problem is her own sense of self worth, and expecting that to come from her dad. He's a jerk, but she has her own issues.

No, I hate fat girls. What? you can't stop eating junk food. And would it kill you to go they gym once in awhile? Every time I am there, it's like a gay convention because there are no women around.

Yeah. I was pretty p-o'ed about her situation as well. Her father should love her for who she is and not what she looks like or eats!!! It's one thing to be concerned about her health...but gees...he didn't even tell her everyday that he loved her!!! That was just wrong!
