You may have been brainwashed into thinking that our debt ridden society and structures are "The best in the world" (heard that before?). Well it is not. And now tourists from communist countries are visiting us to see the effect on us of years of oppression in the hands of the rich. Enjoy!

Excellent question! You are right, we fought and lost many lives against Russia and China and their surrogates throughout the world. However, we were not specifically fighting communism. You can't fight an idea like communism any more than you can "kill" terrorism.
You must change people's minds. And the fact of the matter is, there is only one communist country that is not bankrupt, which is China. And even China is not truly communist, as capitalism has definately taken over the Far East. Communism is dead. Killed not with a gun on a battlefield, but with greed in the open market.
Communism will probably continue its decline, the ideals that it stood for tarnished irrevocably by the tyrants who used it to subjugate their people. As will terrorism. Because they are simply not sustainable concepts. So have no fear, my capitalist friend! Our system is built with greed and avarice as its very solid base, and we can hope that there are enough checks and balances to keep on the straight and narrow.

Well, the american communist witch hunts in the 60's made the communists out to be far worse than what they really are... dont beleive all the propaganda...
I do think its fairly safe to assume that no country is truly communist... lets face it, Korea and China are basically dictatorships under the banner of Communism...
I have nothing against these countries... most of it was all because of America and the SOviet Unions silly cold war... and the cuban missile crisis? americans have a high biased view on that... America had missiles trained on russia via Hawaii, but when the russians want the same in Cuba, america once again spits its dummy out and throws a huge tantrum the world over...
So dont blame the commies... blame the years of propaganga we've all had to endure (on both sides of the coin)

There are still communist countries because one man or a group controls the army and the army controls the people. It takes a gutsy army man to organize a coup and risk being betrayed. Tourists that go to Cuba [for instance] are indirectly helping the common people there. I didn't know we? were sending them our? jobs.

They are probably asking the same questions in reverse! Every Country has the right to have their own type of Governmental structure. The people in these countries are the ones that implement changes. If they need help, they'll probably just whine & cry to America for help, just like Iraq did!

If we don't send them jobs they would flock over here and take your jobs. The tourist flock over there because sex are cheaps and 'em countries don't have any freaking rules / regulations pop out from gov't every minutes & piling up like shits, that we have.

I think these countries have strong feeling of the soverignty of the people even if problem of rule of law and human and democratic rights of the people and see the rulers as fighters of the interferance of the monopoly capitalism or Imperialism.

Viva la revolution!. Communism means power to the people. It works in theory. All these high-bred revolutionaries think that people can still live in peace and prosperity underneath the all-powerful caring state underneath the new "god" - or prime minister of ruling the country.
Why this doesn't happen is beyond me. Yeah - everyone - please give to each other!
