If I were to send out christmas cards, I would start like 1-2 weeks before Christmas.

WOW thank you first off for reminding me to go and buy Christmas cards. I would start writing your Christmas cards now but wait until the day before Thanksgiving to send them out. By sending them out that day you give the cards ample time to make it to where ever they need to go to. If you are sending Christmas cards overseas though you might want to start getting them ready to be sent. If you send them out early like I suggested some people will get them a couple days after Thanksgiving getting them in the holiday spirit. (Although I am already excited for Christmas) I am not sure when Hannukah is but if it is earlier it is a good idea to have their cards sent to them so they will have theirs in time for the holiday season.

Happy Holidays!!!!!!

Yeah it kind of is. I would start sending out cards on 15th of December or two days later so the cards can be received just in time for Christmas.

I work in retail so christmas preparatiopn seems to happen throughout the year, from, the preparation begins to show on the high street in many shops, as early as august, though disgustingly early, for the managers in retail, if it gets in the shopper, it can never be early enough!

In my mind (this is me personally) I dont appreciate of send out christmas cards before mid december- a few float in from early december and I dont mind too much but wont display them till later on.

It does depend on who you send cards to;

I think children can get exited about christmas but if you think a week can take ages for a small child- think how long a month and a half can feel! I would worry they would get exited, get bored and frustrated at the long wait! I would wait till december and advent calenders start beng opened.

For friends I would play it by ear- any of those who love christmas alot? (a give away sign is the OTT lights outside the house/flat as soon as it hits oct, or actually joining in with those "special christmas shopping events"- e.g boot who has theres in october), they dont mind cards as early as you can buy 'em!

There are the vast majority of us who appreciate the festivities: lights, carols, smells of pine leaves and shopping, but dont appreciate easter eggs being swapped with chrismas snow men, as I already said for myself, mid december, so your card can actually be used for the right purpose, and not a teacup mat!

Some people get irratated by Christmas- either seeing it as a marketing event or a burden, or prehaps they have lost someone close to them and christmas is an anniversary of this for them, tread carefully with these people as they need to be visited rather than sent cards to- see if they want a card on visiting or if its a wasted stamp! If you do send them a card, maybe wait till the last posting day before christmas as then they dont have to put the card up and be reminded about the whole fiasco for too long!!

If you have gotten all exited and you want to wait but have all these cards your dying to write out, whay not try writing a personal message to each peron, let tolder people know you are thinking or them, and keep the younger ones detailing santa! then arrange parties or time to meetup and/or got out with the people you are close to.

Godd luck with your decision, hope my answer helps!

NO christmas till the day after Thanksgiving. But you could get them ready to go out by then. I would really wait to mail them until Dec 1st.

YES!. You can write them (I will be writing them out too soon... I am 38 weeks pregnant and think they'll be the last thing on my mind in December!).
I will be sending them 1st December.... I think that is a good time to do it.
